We are pleased to announce that Shwetak Patel has been named Co-Executive Director of the Global Innovation Exchange (GIX) effective immediately. Patel succeeds the late Vikram Jandhyala, his close friend and mentor. He joins Mary Lidstrom, current Co-Executive Director of GIX and UW Vice Provost for Research. Patel was a key member of developing GIX from the beginning. As the Chief Technology Officer, he led the development of the MSTI curriculum and has continued to be a vital force in the growth of GIX ever since.
