Spyro.ai: Respiratory Care

Problem

Asthma affects 1 in 7 people worldwide and can restrict activities of daily life or cause serious debilitation or even death. This condition affects each patient differently and the treatements and triggers can vary wildly from person to person

Approach

Team Spyro.ai consulted with medical experts from UW medicine and Seattle Children's to better understand the problem and have their designs evaluated. They also interacted with hundreds of asthma patients through surveys, interviews, and usability testing.

Solution

Using a mobile app patients can input relevant health data (SPO2 & Spirometry), automated ML powered algorithms work to detect coughing , and APIs such as fitbit are used to collect wearable readings. This data is processed in the back-end and served to medical professionals via a user focused dashboard.
