Kevin received his bachelor's and master's in civil engineering from Georgia Tech, but decided that the making and tutoring he was doing outside his degree was more rewarding.

He spent years in high performance education before finding Decatur Makers in Atlanta, where he first developed woodshop and laser classes, and later became the Makerspace Manager. He moved to Seattle in 2021 and started working at GIX.

What Kevin loves most about teaching at GIX is seeing students overcome challenges they once thought were impossible.
