The University of Washington’s Global Innovation Exchange (GIX) is a university-industry nexus for interdisciplinary education in technology innovation.

In partnership with corporate, government and non-profit organizations, GIX delivers transformational learning experiences through world-class graduate and professional development programs.

Vision: GIX aims to increase the capacity of innovative leaders to create value, transform organizations, and improve the world.

GIX is part of a larger vision…It builds a stronger connection between the Puget Sound and British Columbia and between Seattle and Vancouver, and it really builds a bridge between the higher-education community and the business community. It's one of the few projects that I’ve had the opportunity to work on where I’ve felt...people will look back and say, "What they did made a difference”, and it’s a difference that continues to pay dividends a century later.
