Haonan Peng is a Ph.D. candidate in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Washington. He teaches graduate-level courses on sensors, circuits, and robot manipulation at UW Global Innovation Exchange and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Haonan’s research focuses on AI-enhanced control and haptic feedback for surgical robots. He has mentored undergraduate and graduate students on research projects with the RAVEN-II surgical robot, including sensor systems, robot controllers, ROS/ROS2, simulation, force actuation, and so on.
