5G Retail Experience
Problem
Following the nationwide launch of T-Mobile's 5G network, this team designed a unqiue interactive experience for customers to learn more about 5G and its capabilities.
Approach
The team surveyed over 100 customers and interviewed T-Mobile retail staff to identify potential experiences that would excite users. They also visted 10 different retail stores to (e.g. Tesla, Apple, Lego, Xfinity) to capture competitor best practices.
Solution
Team Dragonfruit devised a proof of concept for an AR experience that teaches retail customers about 5G’s capabilities and offerings in a fun, 2-part game. After doing user evaluation on their final prototype, the results were superb: 96% 5G knowledge recall and a 16% boost in T-Mobile store Net Promoter Score (NPS).
